Here are three of my current and most popular talks.

FIVE STORIES TALL

One of the great advantages of working in conferencing for over 20 years, you get to see a lot of inspirational speakers. Over time I observed two common types of speaker stories; elite athletes or high performing entrepreneurs telling their story of single-minded focus, dedication and sacrifice to reach their goals, and ordinary people being challenged by a catastrophic event that changed their lives and turned them into survivors. The audience were always inspired on the day however six months later at the next conference, they hadn’t applied the learning from these stories, perhaps because they saw the speakers as very different to themselves. This made me curious. I asked conference delegates what kind of stories have had a big impact on their working lives and where did they hear the story. I discovered, most people were changed by small everyday stories passed on by friends, co-workers, and family. When this happened, they were more likely to imbed the learning and experience behaviour change. Five stories tall is a sharing of five small relatable stories with big impact. This talk is lighthearted fun with lots of knowledge sharing and practical learning ready to be applied in the workplace.
