Workshops with Nigel Sutton
Presenting skills
For a presentation to be connective and influential it must deliver a simple, meaningful story with compelling evidence. The presenter needs to be adaptable and responsive to audience needs. In this session you will gain skills in presenting information as part of an engaging narrative. We will explore the practice of adaptable thinking and information interpretation. Discover how to create short, impactful presentations to engage stakeholders.
Live Interpretation: Museums
Using live interpretation and improvisation methodologies this session explores new ways to interpret your existing objects, themes and galleries. Develop a deeper understanding of your exhibitions by exploring the connected nature of theme, object and history in narratives. Discover what makes a great visitor experience and the skills and tools needed to better engage visitors. This is a practice and skills-based workshop covering topics such as understanding and responding to visitor behaviour, delivering experiences to multiple age groups, working with multigeneration and multicultural visitors and teams.
